Torneo de Morelia/Linares 2008

14ª Ronda : Linares, 7-3-2008

. '043 LittlePeasant (GM) : and a dog named steve aries2 (IM) : according to the law of 2 weaknesses, white cannot win just by kingside space Gumptious (GM) : this is definitely at least what radjabov would call 'plus-minus-vertical' aries2 (IM) : it's nice for white but it's not a sure loss Gumptious (GM) : . the plan is to somehow play g4-g5, exchange queens, play h5-h6, tie the rook to h8, bring the king to c3 and play b4 and the second weakness will emerge aries2 (IM) : boldar read alekhine's best games, great reading to explain it to you jensk (IM) : To me it is still strange that Radja can not come up with more in this crucial game - is he a bit scared of Magnus? MMCMiranda (FM) : dont forget the break c5, very strong in some positions here. smeets (GM) : maybe black can somehow delay g4 by going Qh5 smeets (GM) : uhm, white will never exchange rooks smeets (GM) : and gladiator, that loses a pawn jensk (IM) : Qh5 Kh3! Gumptious (GM) : qh5 kh3 g5 g4 looks winning- jensk (IM) : No, Qh5 Kh3 g5 Qf5! Greysky (FM) : Carlsen is a genius Gumptious (GM) : well one win is quite enough jensk (IM) : It is all about containing blacks queen Scarface (IM) : Roman Dzhin is playing against Rybka Scarface (IM) : no coverage of this? smeets (GM) : i prefer gumptious win, the other allows some sort of Qe2 couterplay jensk (IM) : We are covering it, isnt that good enough? Greysky (FM) : soccer, i wonder if you could get this position against Radjabov.. Greysky (FM) : i Kh3 g4-g5 Greysky (FM) : I think after Kh3-g4-g5 white would be winning. Greysky (FM) : if white manages to swap queens, black position is lost (white rooks get the 7 file winning) Greysky (FM) : Kh3 g5 Qf6 maybe Greysky (FM) : Ra8 is everything black can do. Wait and wait :) Greysky (FM) : i think so aquacul Greysky (FM) : yes aquaculture... Gumptious (GM) : I think from white's perspective it's now 80win, 19 draw, 1 loss Greysky (FM) : Gump. 1 loss? :) Gumptious (GM) : you never know... Greysky (FM) : maybe Carlsen plays Qf8? haha Shakhmaty (IM) : The open f-file seems to be able to grant White little more than a symbolic advantage, as there doesn't seem to be a way to open a second front or create a weakness in Black's camp. Greysky (FM) : Radjabov is being chushed :) Speelman (GM) : surely White plays g4 Kg3 and then g5 Shakhmaty (IM) : Speelman is an endgame institution. I dare not argue with him! Gumptious (GM) : I think it's strategically winning- you create the second weakness after playing g4-g5, exchanging queens, playing rf7, h5-h6- force rh8, then kgoes to c3 and b4 followed by c5 etc Greysky (FM) : 0-1 is carlsen isnt careful ---- LOLL Shakhmaty (IM) : Magnus will be 2800 before he hits 20. Nor even Kasparov or Fischer were that strong at this age. Heartachee (IM) : after c5 there is axb4 check LucianoMaia (FM) : i prefer rf8 Gumptious (GM) : well if that's really important, I can always put the king on b3 after I play b4, or take on a5 or whatever- the point is there is a second weakness in the future junior (GM) : btw, what's the refutation to 9.b4? Heartachee (IM) : yep i know Shakhmaty (IM) : To be silent when live on the radio doesn't sound very promising career wise. Hemos terminado pues.

Tú me abrazas

me enseñas, te nombro…
y sólo soy feliz cuando tu estás.

Amanece
me gusta ver tu despertar

Me acaricias

Tamara y Christian Castro

Canción: Nada sin tu amor.
