Torneo de Morelia/Linares 2008

10ª Ronda : Linares, 1-3-2008



Ha sido ésta una jornada bastante aburrida. El esperado duelo entre Anand y Carlsen fue un fiasco. Anand estaba mucho más interesado en mantener su ventaja y por ello no arriesgó lo más mínimo. Rompió con este empate la racha victoriosa de su joven rival que llegaba a la partida después de tres victorias seguidas (!?).


Luego habían dos opciones. O seguir a Aronian o ver a Topalov. Opté por lo segundo, sobre todo porque al ver en aquellos momentos como estaban ambas partidas, pronto detecté que Aronian con negras había logrado una cómoda igualdad, pero no más.


La partida entre Ivanchuk y Topalov comenzó muy movida, con una apertura muy interesante. Sin embargo también posteriormente se desarrolló por cauces tranquilos. Parecía que las tablas llegaban cuando Ivanchuk optó por evitar la repetición de movimientos (!?). Incomprensiblemente Topalov se metió en problemas. Parece que Ivanchuk no acertó con las mejores continuaciones y poco a poco la partida se fue igualando de nuevo. Al final, hasta Topalov quedó un poco mejor, pero ya no se podía forzar.


Shirov y Leko no estaban para muchos trotes, pese al Marshall que jugaron. Pronto se cambiaron damas y la partida perdió gas y también derivó al empate.


Se podría decir que hoy los aficionados añoramos aquellos torneos de Linares de Garry Kimovich Kaspárov (!!)… .

Mañana domingo, jornada de descanso. Algo que no se entiende demasiado. El torneo de Corus está mucho mejor planificado en cuanto al desarrollo de las rondas, aprovechando todos los fines de semana como días de juego. Hay que hacer al ajedrez más popular y así se le hace un flaco favor... . ¡Qué alguien tome nota!.
